Is hypnosis dangerous?
  • No. You will be aware of what is going on around you and what you are doing. You will hear sounds around you, but they will not bother you. You have the power to end the session at any time if you need to.
Will I do anything I don't want to?
  • No. As stated above, you will be aware of what is going on, and will not be asked to do anything you have not already agreed to do. Unlike stage hypnosis, therapeutic hypnosis does not include performing silly antics.
What kind of hypnosis does Kat do?
  • Kat is trained to do hypnosis for almost any situation, however, she specializes in weight management, stress reduction, smoking cessation, business/sales succcess.
Does Kat do past-life regression?
  • This is a service Kat will offer in the near future.
What is "Hypnobirthing?"
  • Hypnobirthing is a natural method of supporting childbirth that enables the woman's body to work with the process rather than fight it - reducing pain and discomfort for both the mother and the baby.

What is a Doula?
  • A Doula is a birthing support partner. Someone who is present during the birth to support the mother, to be aware of what is going on in the room, and to assist the mother in having the most positive birthing experience she can. As often happens, the focus tends to be on the baby - a Doula is there to support the mother, giving encouragement, massage if necessary, and making suggestions that can help to facilitate the birthing process for the mother.
Why would I want to use one?
  • Sometimes there are things (such as an episiostomy) that you may not want to have happen. A Doula is watching and aware of what is going on in the birthing room, and is there to ask questions to help the mother know what is being done to and for her at all times. A Doula is also trained in natural childbirth methods, and can make suggestions to help facilitate the birthing process.
How long has Kat been a Doula?
  • Kat received training as a Doula in October 2006, and is pursuing certification at this time.

What kind of Reader is Kat?
  • Kat is an intuitive reader, which means that she will use her intuitive abilities to access information for you.
Can Kat contact people who have "crossed over"?
  • It is understood that on occasion Kat is given information from the "other side", but at the discretion of such entitities as wish to be known at that time (such as a relative, friend, or pet). However, Kat does not "call spirits" on demand.
Do I have to have a specific question to have a reading?
  • No. Clients are encouraged to let Kat know if they do have a specific question so that it can be addressed in depth, but it is not necessary to have a specific question to schedule a reading. Many clients will meet with Kat to get a "general overview" of the coming months.
Can Kat give specific answers to questions?
  • Kat works with your spirit guides to find the best answers for you. Sometimes the answers are a direct yes or no, and sometimes they require a little more work.

What is a Psychic Party?

  • A Psychic Party is a great excuse to get your friends together for a very unique evening! Instead of the usual "hang out and chat", each guest receives a reading, and the opportunity to learn something about themselves and each other.
How many people do I need to have for a psychic party?
  • To host a party, you only need a minimum of 6 people to a maximum of 18.
How long are the readings at a party?
  • Each guests receives a 15-20 minute reading.
Are the readings in private or in the group?
  • That is the choice of the host and her/his guests. Most parties have a separate room for Kat to read privately, but many groups know each other well enough that it can be fun to "go around the circle" so everone can listen in, because they'll tell each other anyway!
How much does a party cost?
  • Each guest is $25 per reading.
  • With 6-9 guests, the Host's reading is $15.
  • If there are more than 10 guests, the Host's reading is FREE.
  • If the host wishes to "treat" her/his guests to their readings, Kat will do the party for a flat fee. Please call or email Kat for more information.
Does the party have to be paid in advance?
  • No. However, as Kat's Psychic Parties are extremely popular, she does require a small deposit to "hold" the date.
  • When the party is held, the deposit is returned. However, if the host cancells the party for any reason, the deposit is forfeited, and another deposit will be required to reschedule the event. Please see Kat's Terms and Conditions for complete information.
How do I schedule a Psychic Party?

What is Crossings?

  • A Crossings event is an interactive, personal and private opportunity for you to contact someone on the "other side".
Does Kat act as a "Medium" for the Crossings Event?
  • No. Kat is a Faciliatator, not a Medium. What that means, is that Kat guides you through the experience, rather than dicatating the experience to you.
Do we hold hands?
  • No. Everyone sits comfortably in their own space.
What makes Kat's Crossings different from the seances I see in the movies?
  • Bells won't ring, lights won't flicker, the table won't levitate, Kat won't become "possessed" by spirits and speak in their voices. Kat's Seances are a much more personal experience, best compared to an interactive guided group meditation.
Are the results guaranteed? Will I contact the person I want to speak with?
  • Unfortunately, due to the nature of a Crossings event, results cannot be guaranteed. Each person's experience is completely unique to them and the conditions of the evening it is held. However, to date, Kat has not yet had anyone in her Seances say they have not contacted their intended person.
How does a Crossings work?
  • First the group seats themselves comfortably.
  • Kat introduces herself and each person in the group introduces themselves and states who they hope to contact that evening.
  • Kat guides the group through some focusing exercises.
  • Kat begins the group meditation, and sets the scene for each participant to contact the person they have in mind.
  • After a time (usually 30-45 minutes), Kat brings the group out of the meditation, and they discuss their experiences.
Where can I hold a Crossings event?
  • Anywhere that there is space for people to sit comfortably where it will not be interrupted.
Is there anything special I need to do to host a Crossings event?
  • Each guest needs to have in mind the person they wish to contact.
  • There needs to be enough space for people to sit comfortably, with their back against something - whether it is in a chair or on the floor doesn't matter.
  • The telephone needs to be turned off, and small chidren and pets need to be occupied or "sat" at another location. Kat loves children and pets, but it is important not to be disturbed during the Seance itself.
  • Have some food prepared that can be served immediately after the Seance is finished. Often after a meditation such as the Seance, guests will need to eat something to help "ground" them.
Why is it so important not to be interrupted during the Crossings?
  • A Seance is a meditation - and like any meditation, it is a slightly altered state, and is hard on the mind and body to be suddenly brought out of a meditation. If you have further questions about this, please feel free to talk with or email Kat.
How many people do I need to have a Crossings event?
  • A minimum of 6 people and the only limit to how many you can invite is the number you can seat comfortably.
How much does a Crossings event cost?
  • Each guest is $25.
  • With 6-9 guests, the Host is $15.
  • With more than 10 guests, the Host is FREE.
  • If the host wishes to "treat" her guests, Kat will perform the Crossings eventfor a flat fee. Please call or email Kat for more information.
How do I book a Crossings event?
  • Call or email Kat to find a time and date that is convenient. When a Crossings event is booked, it is understood that the Client has read and agreed to Kat's Terms and Conditions.
